FUMAGALLI 1891

with more than130 YEARS OF TIE MAKING,

FUmagalli 1891 is recognized as the oldest Italian tie maker in the world.

STORIA

In 1850 Fumagalli & Pianca weaving mill started their operations in Milan, under the leadership of Germano Fumagalli.

At the end of the 1800's, it was normal practice to get a tie made from Fumagalli at their headquarters in via Sirtori. After choosing a design from the archive, one could watch their tie woven and admire the hand stitch finishing as the cloth passed down the hand frame.

QUALITY CONTROL

Fumagalli 1891 is committed to protecting the planet through the use of circular energy. By using regenerated materials they avoid soil exploitation and drastically reduce water waste.

Their printer doesn’t use water only using natural prints with GOTS certified water colours. Contributing to the preservation of the environment, Fumagalli uses only ecological and regenerated fabrics: wool, silks and cashmere certified to respect the environment and swimwear made with plastic bottles.

GREEN PROJECT

Craftsmanship, hand stitching, suppliers, certified and historical work processes, innovation of fabrics, new design development, and archival research are choices and synergies that, for more than a century, allow FUMAGALLI to guarantee reliability, trust and quality.

PRODOTTI

Fumagalli remains faithful to the principles that have always guided them; respect for the environment, enhancement of human resources, transparency, ethics and integrity.
